Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and now a resident of Norristown, PA with her husband and son, Dr. Christal L. Chatman is no stranger to the hallowed halls of academia. She has earned a BS in Accounting (Chestnut Hill College), an MBA in Human Resources (Keller Graduate School of Management), and a Doctor of Business Administration (University of Phoenix Online). With over 25 years of leadership, strategic planning, and professional development experience, Dr. Christal coaches individuals and teams, and provides tools needed to improve team performance, manage change, develop a collaborative organizational culture, increase employee engagement, and excel as a leader.
Through Christal’s leadership, the locations she’s worked at have become stronger in organizational growth, customer retention, and employee satisfaction. She has also served as the Chair of her organization’s employee engagement committee. She volunteers her time helping others with career transition and college planning, and acts as an adjunct professor. One of her signature strengths is providing opportunities for learning, that can be applied in the workplace immediately.
In ministry, Dr. Christal has held the positions of Community Outreach Team Leader, Church Administrator, and co-leader of the Women's Ministry. She has stepped from behind the desk and is excited to introduce her first book to us, “Behind the Mask: An Introvert’s Perspective on Trauma, Perseverance, and Healing. She still continues to serve her students and the members of the church she attends.
Dr. Christal L. Chatman has a core belief that God has a purpose and destiny for each of us. She says, “The journey may have some detours and obstacles as it's meant to build character, faith, and trust in God. If we just keep pushing. praying, persevering, and handling each task, we will ultimately, achieve our goals and accomplish what we set out to do. Then…on to the next.”
